The reconnaissance
studies of the project were completed by Mahab-E-Qods Consulting Engineers
Company 1993 as well as phase one studies which are now in Procession .

Phase two studies of
the project were agreed to be done with the cooperation of Qods-Niroo and the
English company, Hulcro ,in 2002.
The dam is on Roodbar river, 100 km to south of
Aligoodarz in lorestan province.
The project is situated in the longitude of 49D,
41M, 37S
and the latitude of 32D, 54M, 23S.
The 450MW
